By purchasing tickets to or attending a Water Lantern Festival event, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Ticket purchases
All ticket sales are final unless otherwise stated in our refund policy. Tickets may not be resold or transferred without prior written consent. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events due to weather, safety, or other circumstances beyond our control.
2. Event participation
Attendees agree to follow all event rules, guidelines, and instructions from event staff. Water Lantern Festival reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee whose conduct is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or in violation of event policies, without refund.
3. Assumption of risk & release of liability
By attending a Water Lantern Festival event, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with event participation, including but not limited to proximity to water, uneven terrain, and exposure to weather. You agree to release Water Lantern Festival, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising from your participation. A separate release waiver may be required as part of registration.
4. Photography & media
By attending, you grant Water Lantern Festival a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display photographs, video, or other media captured at the event in which you appear, for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes.
5. Intellectual property
All content, trademarks, logos, and event materials are the property of Water Lantern Festival or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from event content without prior written permission.
6. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our privacy policy. By purchasing a ticket, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in that policy.
7. SMS / text messaging disclosures
If you opt in to receive text messages from Water Lantern Festival:
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Supported carriers include but are not limited to major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Water Lantern Festival’s total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these terms or your participation shall not exceed the amount you paid for your ticket.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Cache County, Utah.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of our services or attendance at events constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
